From the 22nd until the 25th of February 2018 at Palazzo Giureconsulti in Milan. It’s the save the date given by Artistar Jewels to all the experts and all the contemporary jewelry lovers.

Artistar Jewels is an event that gives an international and original perspective on the contemporary jewelry world, showing us the latest trends. The creatives will show their artworks, unique pieces or small series, selected according to their artistic value, technical testing e stylistic research. All the pieces are going to be sold on our website www.artistarjewels.com starting from next February, and the platform will be even more contemporary thanks to an accurate restyling.

170 international designers from more than 30 countries are participating in the 5th edition, showing more than 450 artworks. This year the event has registered an increase of the 20% compared to the 4th edition, closing the applications 3 months earlier than expected.

To enhance the exhibition there will be the creations of three main characters of the contemporary jewelry and art world: the Japanese conceptual artist Yoko Ono, the Belgian Pol Bury and the Parisian artist Faust Cardinali.

During the exhibition there will also be a special area with the creations of maison De Liguoro in collaboration with the Egyptian artist Reem Jano, winner of the “De Liguoro” 2017 award. Together with theme also the jewels of Gabriela Secarea, winner of the 2017 Artistar Jewels @Camera Lucida award, offered to the best Romanian designer.

In the volume Artistar Jewels 2018 all the designers are going to see published the pictures taken during the shooting organized by the Artistar Jewels team with the photographer Andrea Salpetre. The book published by Logo Fausto Lupetti will be available worldwide in all the national and international bookstores. The volume will be sent to more than 5000 experts, as buyers, journalists, bloggers and jewelry galleries.

The introduction is written by Eugenia Gadaleta, marketing & communication manager of Artistar Jewels and communication teacher, together with Mariastella Campi, fashion journalist.

The Artistar Jewels participants are also involved in a contest and a jury made by experts is assigning the following awards:

Three winners will have the chance to join for free Artistar Jewels 2019 and to be part of the special contents of the 2019 book. One designer under 27 has the chance to participate for free in a goldsmithing course held by Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana of Milan: a unique chance to learn the most important lab techniques, creating different artworks. Two selected designers will also take part for free in two international fairs of this field in 2018: Sieraad Art Fair in Amsterdam and AUTOR International Contemporary Jewelry Fair in Bucarest.

30 creations selected from the jury will be the protagonists of a moving exhibition in prestigious European galleries and international concept stores: as partners of the event, they are selecting some pieces among the exhibited ones to enrich their showcases.

Dal 22 al 25 febbraio 2018 a Palazzo dei Giureconsulti a Milano, Artistar Jewels dà appuntamento agli esperti del settore e a tutti gli amanti del gioiello contemporaneo.  La mostra è aperta con ingresso gratuito durante la settimana della moda e ha il patrocinio del Comune di Milano.

Artistar Jewels è un evento che offre una lettura inedita e internazionale sul gioiello contemporaneo esponendo le tendenze degli ultimi anni. I creativi presentano i loro lavori, pezzi unici o piccole serie, selezionati per l’alto valore artistico, per la sperimentazione tecnica e la ricerca stilistica. Tutte le creazioni saranno acquistabili tramite la piattaforma www.artistarjewels.com che dal prossimo febbraio assumerà una nuova veste grafica, ancora più accattivante.

Partecipano alla quinta edizione 170 designer internazionali provenienti da oltre 30 Paesi con più di 450 creazioni in mostra. Quest’anno l’evento ha registrato un aumento del 20% con la chiusura delle iscrizioni anticipata di tre mesi, rispetto all’edizione precedente.

Ad arricchire l’esposizione ci saranno le creazioni di tre protagonisti del mondo dell’arte e del gioiello contemporaneo: l’artista concettuale giapponese Yoko Ono; il belga Pol Bury e l’artista parigino Faust Cardinali.

All’interno della mostra sarà dedicata una special area che ospiterà la creazione che la maison De Liguoro ha realizzato in collaborazione con la designer egiziana Reem Jano, vincitrice, lo scorso anno, del premio “De  Liguoro”. In esposizione anche l’opera di Gabriela Secarea, la quale si è aggiudicata nel 2017 il premio Artistar Jewels @Camera Lucida, offerto al miglior designer della Romania.

All’interno del volume Artistar Jewels 2018 tutti i partecipanti vedranno pubblicati gli scatti dello shooting fotografico, organizzato dal team di Artistar Jewels e realizzato dal fotografo Andrea Salpetre. Il libro è edito dalla casa editrice Logo Fausto Lupetti e sarà disponibile a livello nazionale e internazionale in tutte le librerie in Italia e nelle principali capitali europee. Il volume sarà inoltre spedito a 5000 addetti del settore, tra cui buyers, giornalisti, blogger e gallerie del gioiello. I testi introduttivi saranno curati da Eugenia Gadaleta, marketing & communication manager di Artistar Jewels e docente di comunicazione, insieme a Maristella Campi, giornalista di moda e costume.

I partecipanti ad Artistar Jewels sono anche protagonisti di un contest, e una giuria composta da esperti di settore assegnerà i seguenti premi:

I tre vincitori avranno l’opportunità di partecipare gratuitamente ad Artistar Jewels 2019 ed essere all’interno dei contenuti speciali nell’edizione 2019. Per un giovane designer la Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana di Milano offrirà inoltre la partecipazione gratuita al corso di Oreficeria Professionale: occasione unica per apprendere le tecniche più importanti di laboratorio realizzando diversi oggetti di oreficeria. Due designer selezionati avranno uno spazio espositivo gratuito all’interno di due fiere internazionali di settore nel 2018: Sieraad Art Fair di Amsterdam e AUTOR International Contemporary Jewelry Fair a Bucarest.

Trenta creazioni selezionate dalla giuria saranno protagoniste di una mostra itinerante in prestigiose gallerie europee e importanti concept store internazionali: in qualità di partner dell’evento sceglieranno alcune opere, tra tutte quelle in mostra, per arricchire le loro vetrine.

Artistar Jewels sta crescendo in maniera significativa grazie al grande lavoro di squadra e alle partnership che abbiamo stretto in questi anni – afferma Enzo Carbone founder di Artistar Jewels – è molto più di una mostra, è un progetto strutturato di narrazione e valorizzazione del talento e lavoreremo con impegno crescente per garantire, sempre, un evento internazionale di altissimo livello, e una concreta opportunità di visibilità e business per i creativi selezionati.
