Milano. Il 23 febbraio sono stati proclamati i vincitori della quinta edizione di Artistar Jewels, appuntamento internazionale dedicato alla diffusione della cultura del gioiello contemporaneo. L’evento si è svolto a Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, storico palazzo milanese che si affaccia su piazza Duomo, e ha ospitato 450 creazioni di designer e artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Tantissimi i presenti coinvolti in due speciali serate su invito organizzate dal team di Artistar Jewels: la serata del 22 febbraio dedicata all’incontro esclusivo dei partecipanti con i buyer e i giornalisti, che ha registrato centinaia di ospiti, e quella del 23 febbraio con proclamazione dei vincitori, presentazione del libro e cocktail party. I tre vincitori del contest Artistar Jewels 2018 sono il designer e gemmologo ucraino Stanislav Drokin, il maestro d’arte e art director italiano Tiziano Andorno e l’orafa e insegnante di oreficeria italiana Rosamaria Venetucci. I tre vincitori si sono aggiudicati una partecipazione gratuita al progetto per l’edizione 2019.

Una menzione speciale è stata consegnata da Enzo Carbone, fondatore di Artistar Jewels, alla giovane orafa inglese Katy Tromans.

La grafica e designer italiana Angela Simone ha vinto la partecipazione gratuita alla SIERAAD ART FAIR in programma il prossimo novembre ad Amsterdam e il giapponese HIYU HAMASAKI sarà  ospite della fiera dedicata al gioiello contemporaneo Autor a Bucarest.

La designer Federica Portaccio è stata scelta da Guido Solari, fondatore della Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana di Milano di via Savona 20, per prendere parte a un corso di Oreficeria professionale.

Elisabetta Barracchia direttore di Condé Nast Mag Accessory, nuovo magazine del gruppo Condé Nast, dedicherà una intervista sul numero di settembre 2018 all’artista spagnola May Gañan.

Le creazioni di oltre trenta artisti, quali Abel, Ana Viñuela Lorenzo, Anastasia Khazyrbekava, Andrea Rosales-Balcarcel, Anita Sondore, Annie Gobel, Antonio Piluso – Pilgiò, Art7, Bia Tambelli Creations, Dalaleo, Dan Russell, DiOZ Jewelry, Ekaterina Peresvetova Peresvetti, Federico Primiceri, Glauco Cambi, Izabela Chan, Maison Tjoeng, May Avital, Maya Ferroni, Meisam Ahmadi, MIMIKRA Kinga Sulej, My Golden Cage by Maria Elena Pino, MYRIAMB (Myriam Bottazzi), Nina Oikawa, Pauletta Brooks Wearable Art, Sonya Zograbyan for So Zo, Stacey Huang, Susan Lenart Kazmer, SVB-JEWELLERY di SIMONE VERA BATH, Vaidaan Jewellery, VERTIGO JEWELRY by Victoria Strizhak, Wanshu Li saranno protagoniste di una mostra itinerante nella galleria ICKX Contemporary Jewelry di Bruxelles e nella Eleni Marneri Galerie ad Atene.

La giuria che ha avuto il compito di scegliere e premiare i più meritevoli per capacità tecniche, sperimentazione, originalità e ricerca è composta da Elisabetta Barracchia – Direttore di Condé Nast Mag Accessory, Maristella Campi – Giornalista di moda e costume, Gianni De Liguoro – Socio fondatore e stilista del brand di alta bigiotteria De Liguoro, Guido Solari – Fondatore e titolare della Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana di Milano via Savona 20. A loro, già membri di giuria lo scorso anno, si sono aggiunti tre nuovi giudici stranieri Astrid Berens – Direttrice di SIERAAD ART FAIR di Amsterdam, Dan Piersinaru – Direttore e fondatore della rivista dedicata al gioiello contemporaneo AUTOR e Irina Slesareva – Direttore di Jewellery Review Magazine e Direttore Creativo del Russian Line Jewellery Contest.

Le creazioni dei 170 artisti internazionali, sono state ospitate durante tutto il periodo della mostra realizzata in concomitanza con la Fashion Week milanese. L’esposizione è stata inoltre arricchita da prestigiosi contenuti speciali e dalla presenza di opere di artisti di fama mondiale quali Yoko Ono, Pol Bury e Faust Cardinali.

Tutti i lavori in mostra sono acquistabili sull’e-commerce artistarjewels.com. Il team di Artistar Jewels ha inoltre coinvolto nel progetto alcuni concept store italiani ed europei che inizieranno una collaborazione con artisti e designer da loro selezionati, al fine di poter distribuire in diversi punti vendita le loro creazioni.

 “L’evento ha ottenuto un grande successo – ha affermato Enzo Carbone, fondatore di Artistar Jewels – quest’edizione abbiamo avuto un incremento di visitatori, stampa e buyer; per il prossimo anno pensiamo di aumentare il numero delle gallerie all’estero con le quali collaborare e restringere il numero dei partecipanti. Ci sarà per questo motivo una maggiore selezione degli artisti. L’obiettivo è quello di mantenere un’offerta molto alta e lavorare sempre meglio a fianco dei creativi”.

On February 23rd the winners of the fifth edition of Artistar Jewels were announced. Artistar Jewels is the international date dedicated to the diffusion of the contemporary jewelry culture. The event took place in Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, historical palace that overlook the Duomo Square, and hosted 450 creations from artists and designers coming from all over the world. High was the level of attendance in the two special nights organized by the Artistar Jewels team: the night of 22nd of February dedicated only to the meeting of the participants with buyers and journalists, with thousands of guest and the one of February 23rd, with the winners announcement, book presentation and cocktail party. The three winners of the Artistar Jewels 2018 Contest are the Ukrainian designer and gemologist Stanislav Drokin, the Italian art director and renowned Tiziano Andorno and the Italian goldsmither and goldworking teacher Rosamaria Venetucci. The three winners will take part for free in the 2019 edition of the project.

A special mention has been delivered by Enzo Carbone, founder of Artistar Jewels, to the young English goldsmither Katy Tromans.

The Italian graphic and designer Angela Simone won the free participation to the SIERAAD ART FAIR for the next November at Amsterdam and the Japanese Hiyu Hamasaki will be hosted by the contemporary jewelry fair Autor in Bucharest.

The designer Federica Portaccio has been choosen by Guido Solari, founder of the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana of Milan of via Savona 20, to take part in a Professional Goldsmithing course.

The jury who had the hard duty of selecting and awarding the best artists for technical ability, sperimentation, originality and research is composed by Elisabetta Barracchia – Editor in chief of Condé Nast Mag Accessory, Maristella Campi – Fashion journalist, Gianni De Liguoro, founder and owner of Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana of Milano via Savona 20. With them, members of the jury from last year, three new entry: Astrid Berens – director of SIERAAD ART FAIR of Amsterdam, Dan Piersinaru – Founder and directors of the contemporary jewelry magazine AUTOR and Irina Slesareva – director of Jewellery Review Magazine and creative director Russian Line Jewellery Contest.

The creations from the 170 international artists, has been hosted for the whole duration of the exhibition, realized during the Milan Fashion Week. The show has also been enriched by the prestigious special contest and by the works of world famous artist such as Yoko Ono, Pol Bury and Faust Cardinali.

All the works on exhibition are on sale on the e-commerce artistarjewels.com. The Artistar Jewels team has also involved in the project some Italian and European concept stores that will start a collaboration with the artist and designers they selected, to distribute in several point their works.

“The event was a great success – said Enzo Carbone, founder of Artistar Jewels – for this edition we had an increase in the visitors, press and buyers. For the next edition we are planning to increase the number of foreigner galleries and lowering the number of participants. There will be a higher selection of the artists. The aim is to still have a high level offer of jewelry and keep working next to the creatives”.
