The most awaited event of the year is approaching: from April 17th to 22nd 2018 Milan gets ready for Design, welcoming experts from all over the world. The district of Lambrate will be full of creativity and innovation, to meet the expectations of the public that will cross the district. The Lambrate Design District embraces every shades of design for this edition of the Fuorisalone, including Contract, Food and Art.

DESIGN
The central theme is undoubtedly the Italian and international Design, presented by the group exhibitions of Din – Design In 2018, Spazio Donno with DesignCircus and Fuorisalmone.

The route starts from Via Massimiano 6 with Din – Design In, an event organized by Promotedesign.it. In this industrial hangar of 2,000 square meters, a temple of international creativity, it will be possible to admire the products of world-renowned designers, companies, schools, organizations and architects. The aim of Promotedesign.it is to bring and sensitize both visitors and design producers to an ever-increasing offer of creativity. The products presented include Omled’s innovative technologies, that’s to say anti-glare Oled with an elegant design, lamps made from umbrellas and recycled materials made by Kamaro’an, a Taiwanese company established in the Eastern market. Also innovative is the project presented by LUMENTILE, born from a research project of the European Commission H2020, whose purpose is to develop a bright and intelligent tile that, inspired by the classic ceramic tile, is enriched with electronics that allows new features. A large area will also be dedicated to exhibiting products from leading design academies, such as NID, Nuovo Instituto di Design, the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and Academie Artemis in Amsterdam.

SpazioDonno in its prestigious location presents the 11th edition of DesignCircus. During DesignCircus design products will be presented alongside with artists exhibiting their contemporary works. The event is completed by a selection of technological objects from the Smart Home world that will show us how to easily communicate the various household appliances and manage the security of the apartment with a few clicks. An App was released in collaboration with pixelBook, and i twill be available from April 15 on the AppStore and Google Play. During the event accompanied children can also try a pedal machine and a balance bike made in 3dprinting, for a fun ride in the streets of the Lambrate Design District.

This year another landmark of the Lambrate area has also been reconfirmed: FUORISALMONE. Since only the dead fish swim by following the current, this event shows us a network of professionals and entrepreneurs who swim against the current. Emanuele Pezzotta tells a synergic network that creates connections between the creativity of designers, the excellence of companies, the potential of products and the resources of the markets. On this occasion, FUORISALMONE presents for the fifth consecutive year a concrete project aimed at an audience of professionals. Located in the lofts of Via Massimiano 25, the event aims to offer concrete business opportunities and interaction between professionals and entrepreneurs.

STUDIO CR34 is also present this year with Intro event, which is the first exhibition of furnishing accessories designed by StudioCR34 and produced by two emerging artisan companies. These elements represent not only a style but a design method adapted to two materials, glass and wood. The creations are presented in two areas of the office, adapted to the exhibition environment. Studio CR34, located in via Conte Rosso 34, already boasts many international collaborations with world-renowned architects. The protagonists of the event are Roberto Di Stefano, Alessandro Bongiorni and Ettore Vincentelli.

The artisanal design gains space between the events of the district landing at REDROOM, the metaphoric living room of the handmade side of Lambrate. For the Fuorisalone 2018 the shop focuses itself on self-produced design with natural and alternative materials. The exhibition is created ad hoc in collaboration with the designer of Pig’Oh ideemateriali, which on Friday 20th will transport his laboratory to Lambrate for a day. The nature and the forest will then be the protagonists of a series of live painting: the first one will be created from a live performance with an installation on the facade of the building by the illustrator Martina Dirce Carcano, on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th.

Thursday 19th April at 4.30 pm in the Lambrate Lighting District, D&R – Design & Retail will be held, a meeting on new solutions for Retail, nowadays stirrings and indispensable tools for lighting designers who focus on the customer experience. The new technologies, from the IOT (Internet of Things) to the Li.Fi (Light – WiFi), allow to create more and more emotional designs that, through controlled and interconnected applications, are able to tame and shape the light for the creation of unique atmospheres. Marco Frascarolo – (Lighting Designer – Professor of Architecture Department – Uni Roma Tre – AIDI – Italian Lighting Association) and Walter Lutzu (Lighting Designer – Vice President AILD – Italian Lighting Association) will take part in the meeting.

ARTE
The district of Lambrate also embraces the art world this year, giving space to two dedicated events of this field.

New entity is the temporary art gallery of KKM group, which hosts the event “The Wunderkammer of Michele Vitaloni” at the Fuorisalone 2018. The event offers an important selection of works by the internationally renowned sculptor, presenting for the occasion its new hyper-realistic creations related to the animal world and a new design line created by the same artist and inspired by naturalistic subjects. This exhibition is a fusion of Art and Design, which become here a single subject linked to the wild world, processing different materials that narrate an exclusive way of living the design world. The paintings by Claudio Verganti and the design by Sergio Linzi will also be presenta the event.

Silencio will instead be staged at Spazio Lambrate, an artistic performance by Andrea Vescovi and Stefano Baldini curated by Tommaso Vergano. Silencio is a project without a project, art without music, music without art: it is only a show in the purest and simplest state. It wants to send a message to the current show-business society through an audio-visual performance, criticizing the spectacle and the excessive accumulation of stimuli.

The artistic path of the district ends at Din – Design In, where every year during the event a Temporary Shop area is organized byArtistarjewels.com. Artistar Jewels is an annual project of international contemporary jewels, that this year reconfirms its presence after the undisputed success of the previous edition: it will be possible to buy creative pieces of contemporary jewelery created by designers from all over the world.

CONTRACT
The Lambrate Design District focuses its attention this year on the Contract world, thanks to the two events organized by the architect Simone Micheli in the district. Micheli will give life to two exhibitions: Hotel Regeneration (16 – 22 April 2018) at the Officina Ventura 14 and The precious apartment in Puntaldìa (17-22 April 2018) at Simone Micheli studio – gallery.

Hotel Regeneration is the biggest event-agora realized for the Milanese kermesse in the contract field, in collaboration with Tourism Investment, PKF hotelexperts & AboutHotel, which will cover an area of over 4000 square meters, will present to the visitor many different environments dedicated to hospitality. Each section, designed for the occasion by the architect and made up of tailor-made products, will be dedicated to a different hotel chain with the aim of making concrete the mix between the desires and the real satisfaction of the needs of the customers. The visitor can deal with fascinating installations and become an active part of debates of considerable value and high interest during the Hospitality & Design Forum – a dynamic container for conferences, networking, panel discussions, presentations and exhibitions dedicated to developers, hoteliers, hotel groups, companies , architects, interior designers and real estate consultants.

The precious apartment in Puntaldìa under the patronage of ImmobilSarda is an ethical and intelligent project, which tells a new way of imagining architecture aimed at redefining the concept of luxury in accordance with the evolution of the needs of today’s man and the fluidity of contemporary living space; a virtual exhibition that during the Fuorisalone will show the visitor the interior of the apartment designed by Simone Micheli and at the same time a permanent, concrete and active show-room where every guest can touch the excellence of the products made and supplied by the companies. The virtual exhibition, with charm and skill, will guide the visitor inside the new private residence – in the exclusive residential complex of Puntaldìa, one of the most prestigious resorts in the north-west area of Sardinia – with the aim of offering the observer a more concrete than ever tasting of the characteristics and traits that the work will take.

Also linked to the world of bicycles is OFO, the world leader in fixed-bike-sharing bike sharing founded in 2014 and based in Beijing, China. It will be present with a dedicated station inside the Din – Design In shed, as the district of Lambrate will be part of the unmissable stages of the cycling perspectives organized within the city.

SHARING
The district wants to offer its visitors spaces to interact, an area to exchange ideas and synergies between employees in the sector.

For this reason SHARED HOUSE: CO-DIVIDUAL Architecture has been organized. Conceived as a space off the Triennale di Millano within the exhibition organized by Stefano Mirti entitled “999 questions on contemporary living” in progress from 12 January to 6 April 2018. If the twentieth century celebrated in-dividualism, we believe that the 21st century will be the century of co-dividualism, or the rediscovery of community ties, spaces for being together, places to weave new possibilities to meet. The interest is born to try out a new housing typology: the shared house, that is a house with common spaces conceived as a result of warm and simple, funny and contemporary design reflections where people who will use this house for a short time will have common spaces. In these kind of spaces they will give life to start-ups, where they can cook together, experiment with new ergonomics uses of public space in the private space. In the location of Via Ventura, 3, in addition to experimenting with new practices of being together, it is expected to host debates, meetings, exhibitions of objects and photographs. SHARED HOUSE: CO-DIVIDUAL Architecture is the result of a collaboration between FARM CULTURAL PARK and its founder Andrea Bartoli, LAPS ARCHITECTURE by Salvator-John A. Liotta and Fabienne Louyot, A14HUB, POLITECNICO of MILAN for which the prof. Marco Imperadori.

In April Art & Bike will also be inaugurated at Spazio Industriale, in its suggestive street-level structure, which articulates interiors and exteriors perfectly accessible to people with mobility difficulties. Spazio Industriale hosts for the Fuorisalone 2018 realities that combine design, fashion, cycling passion and eco-technologies for bikes. Zehus SpA will exhibit its innovative design projects applied to the bike. GilcoLab Art & Bike will present a new proposal for ultralight tubes for furniture design, in addition to its display of unique pieces based on an original Gilco design.

FOOD
The events will not be over at 8pm when the gates of the hangar will be closed: WEating, located in the inner yard of Din – Design In and Street Food Experience at Giardino Ventura, will take place. It’s a great chance to hang out until late night to deeply live the energy of the district.

WEating, located in the inner yard of Din – Design In, presents a selection of Food Trucks in a dedicated space set up as an event in the event. Common denominator between the two entities is the passion for the taste, for the earth and its products but above all the exemplary attention on the appearance, that represents a bridge between these two exhibitions. Lambrate Design District wants to make of these excellences its strength, providing the visitors with an emotional experience, full of cultural entertaining sparks. This will not only support the design event, but it will also complete the whole experience.

“Just StrEat Week” Street Food Experience at Lambrate’s Giardino Ventura is the event based on gourmet Street Food, that evolves around street food to taste via Mobile, music and drinks. With Just Eat the best of italian and international street food can be tasted at Fuorisalone! Between cocktails and music with electrifying DJ sets you can order street food from around the world from 10 different food trucks directly via Just Eat app. Every day at sunset, starting at 7.00 pm, a Dj-Set with Dj and international producers – as well as Stylophonic known for international collaborations and successes as well as sound design projects, will be the soundtrack of Just Streat Week.

The enormous dynamism of these events will contribute to making the heart of the Lambrate Design District a pulsating and engaging one.

L’evento più atteso dell’anno si sta avvicinando: dal 17 al 22 aprile 2018 Milano si vestirà di Design, accogliendo esperti del settore provenienti da tutto il mondo. Il distretto di Lambrate si colorerà di creatività e innovazione, per soddisfare le aspettative del pubblico che attraverserà il quartiere. Il Lambrate Design District ha abbracciato per questa edizione del Fuorisalone il design a 360 gradi, spaziando nel Contract, nel Food e nell’arte.

DESIGN
Tema centrale è sicuramente il Design, italiano e internazionale, presentato dalle esposizioni collettive di Din – Design In 2018, Spazio Donno con DesignCircus e Fuorisalmone.

Il percorso inizia da via Massimiano 6 con Din – Design In, evento organizzato da Promotedesign.it. In questo capannone industriale di 2.000 metri quadri, tempio della creatività internazionale, sarà possibile ammirare i prodotti di designer, aziende, scuole, organizzazioni e architetti di fama mondiale. Promotedesign.it ha come obiettivo primario quello di avvicinare e sensibilizzare i destinatari e i produttori di design ad una sempre e più crescente offerta di creatività. Tra i prodotti presentati da segnalare le tecnologie innovative di Omled, Oled antiriflesso dal design elegante, le lampade ricavate da ombrelli e materiali di riciclo di Kamaro’an, azienda di Taiwan affermata nel mercato orientale. Innovativo anche il progetto presentato da LUMENTILE, nato da un progetto di ricerca della commissione europea H2020, la cui finalità è quella di sviluppare una piastrella luminosa e intelligente che, ispirandosi alla classica piastrella ceramica, viene arricchita con elettronica che permette nuove funzionalità. Verrà inoltre dedicata un’ampia area all’esposizione di prodotti provenienti da importanti università di design, quali NID, Nuovo Istituto di Design, Accademia Umprum delle arti, dell’architettura e del design di Praga e Academie Artemis di Amsterdam.

Proprio nel design ha investito a Lambrate Roberto Donno, creatore dello Spazio Donno, che insieme ad altri imprenditori ha investito in questa zona tutt’altro che morta, bensì piena di energia e soprattutto d’identità, mettendo a disposizione del design e dell’arte contemporanea la sua prestigiosa location. SpazioDonno presenta quindi la XI edizione di DesignCircus. Durante DesignCircus si affiancano ai designer anche artisti con le loro opere contemporanee. Completano l’evento una selezione di oggetti tecnologici del mondo della Smart Home che ci dimostreranno come far dialogare facilmente i vari elettrodomestici di casa e gestire la sicurezza dell’appartamento con pochi ‘click’. In collaborazione con pixelBook è stato realizzato un catalogo in formato App disponibile dal 15 aprile su AppStore e Google Play. Infine durante l’evento i bambini accompagnati potranno provare una macchina a pedali e una balance bike realizzati in 3dprinting, per un divertente giro nelle vie del Lambrate Design District.

Quest’anno è inoltre riconfermato un altro caposaldo dell’area di Lambrate: FUORISALMONE. Siccome solo i pesci morti nuotano seguendo la corrente, questo evento ci mostra una rete di professionisti e imprenditori che nuotano controcorrente. Emanuele Pezzotta racconta un network sinergico che crea connessioni tra la creatività dei designer, l’eccellenza delle aziende, le potenzialità dei prodotti e le risorse dei mercati. In occasione della Settimana del Design, FUORISALMONE presenta per il quinto anno consecutivo un progetto concreto rivolto ad un pubblico di addetti ai lavori. Situato nei loft di via Massimiano 25, l’evento mira ad offrire opportunità concrete di business e di interazione tra professionisti ed imprenditori.

Presente anche STUDIO CR34 con l’evento Intro, che si prefigura come la prima esibizione di complementi d’arredo disegnati da StudioCR34 e prodotti da due aziende artigiane emergenti. Questi elementi rappresentano non uno stile ma un metodo progettuale adattato a due materiali, il vetro ed il legno. Le realizzazioni sono presentate in due aree dell’ufficio, adattato ad ambiente espositivo. Studio CR34, situato in via Conte Rosso 34, vanta già molte collaborazioni internazionali con architetti di fama mondiale. I designer protagonisti dell’evento sono Roberto Di Stefano, Alessandro Bongiorni e Ettore Vincentelli.

Il design artigianale si fa spazio tra gli eventi del distretto approdando alla REDROOM, il salotto dell’ handmade di Lambrate. Per il Fuorisalone 2018 focus sul design autoprodotto con materiali naturali e alternativi: un allestimento creato ad hoc in collaborazione con il designer di Pig’Oh ideemateriali, che venerdì 20 trasporterà il suo laboratorio a Lambrate per un giorno. La natura e il bosco saranno poi protagonisti di una serie di live painting: il primo, di grandi dimensioni, nascerà da una performance live con una installazione sulla facciata del palazzo, ad opera dell’illustratrice Martina Dirce Carcano, martedì 17 e mercoledì 18.

Giovedì 19 aprile alle 16:30 nella la sede del Lambrate Lighting District, si terrà D&R – Design & Retail, un incontro sulle nuove soluzioni per il Retail, oggi stimoli e strumenti indispensabili per i lighting designer attenti alla “customer experience”. Le nuove tecnologie, dall’Iot (Internet of Things) al Li.Fi (Light – WiFi), permettono di creare design sempre più emozionali che attraverso applicazioni controllate e interconnesse, sono in grado di domare e plasmare la luce per la creazione di atmosfere uniche. All’incontro parteciperanno Marco Frascarolo – (Lighting Designer – Docente Dipartimento di Architettura – Uni Roma Tre – AIDI – Associazione Italiana di Illuminazione) e Walter Lutzu (Lighting Designer – Vice Presidente AILD – Associazione Italiana di Illuminazione).

ARTE
Il distretto di Lambrate abbraccia quest’anno anche il mondo dell’arte, dando spazio a due eventi dedicati del settore.

Nuova realtà è lo spazio Arte di KKM group, che in occasione del Fuorisalone 2018 ospita l’evento “The Wunderkammer of Michele Vitaloni ”. L’evento propone un’importante selezione di opere dello scultore di fama internazionale, presentando per l’occasione le sue nuove creazioni iperrealistiche legate al mondo animale e una nuova linea di design creata dallo stesso artista ed ispirata sempre ai soggetti naturalistici. Questa mostra è una fusione tra Arte e Design, che diventano un unico soggetto legato al mondo selvaggio con lavorazioni di diversi materiali che raccontano un modo esclusivo di vivere il mondo abitativo. All’evento saranno presenti anche le opere pittoriche di Claudio Verganti e il design di Sergio Linzi.

Presso Spazio Lambrate andrà invece in scena Silencio, una performance artistica di Andrea Vescovi e Stefano Baldini a cura di Tommaso Vergano. Silencio è un progetto senza progetto, arte senza musica, musica senza arte: solo spettacolo allo stato più puro e semplice. Vuole raccontare attraverso una performance audio-visiva l’attuale società dello spettacolo, criticandone la spettacolarità e l’eccessivo accumulo di stimoli.

Il percorso artistico del distretto si conclude presso Din – Design In, dove ogni anno durante l’evento viene organizzata l’area Temporary Shop dove Artistarjewels.com, progetto annuale di gioiello contemporaeo internazionale, riconferma la sua presenza, dopo l’indiscusso successo della precedente edizione: sarà possibile acquistare qui pezzi creativi di gioielleria contemporanea, creati da designer provenienti da tutto il mondo.

CONTRACT
Il Lambrate Design District focalizza quest’anno la sua attenzione anche al mondo del Contract, grazie ai due eventi organizzati dall’architetto Simone Micheli nel quartiere. Micheli darà vita a due mostre: Hotel Regeneration (16 – 22 Aprile 2018) presso l’Officina Ventura 14 e The precious apartment in Puntaldìa (17-22 aprile 2018) presso Simone Micheli studio – gallery.

Hotel Regeneration è il più grande evento-agorà fino ad ora realizzato per la kermesse Milanese in ambito contract, in collaborazione con Tourism Investment, PKF hotelexperts & AboutHotel, che si estenderà su una superficie di oltre 4000 mq, presenterà al visitatore plurimi spaccati di ambienti dedicati all’accoglienza. Ogni spaccato, firmato per l’occasione dall’architetto e composto da prodotti tailor-made, sarà dedicato ad una differente catena alberghiera con il fine di rendere concreta la commistione tra i desideri e la soddisfazione reale delle necessità dei clienti. Il visitatore potrà confrontarsi con affascinanti installazioni e diventare parte attiva di dibattiti di rilevante valore ed elevato interesse durante l’Hospitality & Design Forum – contenitore dinamico di conferenze, networking, panel discussion, presentazioni ed esposizioni dedicate a sviluppatori, albergatori, gruppi alberghieri, aziende, architetti, interior designer e consulenti immobiliari.

The precious apartment in Puntaldìa con il patrocinio di ImmobilSarda, è un progetto etico ed intelligente, che racconta un nuovo modo di immaginare l’architettura volto alla ridefinizione del concetto di lusso in accordo con l’evoluzione delle necessità dell’uomo di oggi e la fluidità dello spazio abitativo contemporaneo; una mostra virtuale che durante il Fuorisalone mostrerà al visitatore l’interno dell’appartamento firmato da Simone Micheli e contemporaneamente uno show-room permanente, concreto ed attivo in cui ogni ospite potrà toccare con mano l’eccellenza dei prodotti realizzati e forniti dalle aziende. La mostra virtuale, con fascino e maestria, guiderà il visitatore all’interno di della nuova residenza privata – nell’esclusivo complesso residenziale di Puntaldìa, uno dei resort più prestigiosi della zona nord ovest della Sardegna – con il fine di offrire all’osservatore un assaggio più che mai concreto delle caratteristiche e dei tratti che l’opera assumerà.

SHARING
Il quartiere vuole però offrire ai suoi visitatori degli spazi per poter interagire, uno scambio di idee e di sinergie tra addetti al settore.

A tal scopo nasce SHARED HOUSE: Architettura CO-DIVIDUALE, concepito come spazio off della Triennale di Milano in seno alla mostra organizzata da Stefano Mirti dal titolo “999 domande sull’abitare contemporaneo” in corso dal 12 gennaio al 6 aprile 2018. Se il XX secolo ha celebrato l’in-dividualismo, crediamo che il XXI secolo sarà il secolo del co-dividualismo, ovvero della riscoperta dei legami comunitari, di spazi per lo stare insieme, di luoghi dove tessere nuove possibilità di incontro. Nasce l’interesse per sperimentare una nuova tipologia abitativa: la shared house, ovvero una casa con spazi comuni pensati come risultato di riflessioni progettuali calorose e semplici, divertenti e contemporanee dove le persone che useranno in modo breve e temporaneo questa abitazione oltre alla loro stanza hanno degli spazi comuni generosi dove dare vita ad una start-up, dove cucinare insieme, dove sperimentare nuove ergonomie ed usi dello spazio pubblico nello spazio privato. Nello spazio di Via Ventura, 3, oltre a sperimentare nuove pratiche dello stare insieme si prevede di ospitare dibattiti, incontri, esposizioni di oggetti e fotografie. SHARED HOUSE: Architettura CO-DIVIDUALE è frutto di una collaborazione fra FARM CULTURAL PARK e del suo fondatore Andrea Bartoli, LAPS ARCHITECTURE di Salvator-John A. Liotta e Fabienne Louyot, A14HUB, POLITECNICO di MILANO per il quale interverrà il prof. Marco Imperadori.

Ad aprile verrà inoltre inaugurato Art&Bike allo Spazio Industriale, nella sua suggestiva struttura al piano della strada, che articola interni ed esterni perfettamente accessibili anche a persone con difficoltà motorie, lo Spazio Industriale ospita per il Fuorisalone 2018 realtà che coniugano design, moda, passione ciclistica ed eco-tecnologie per la bici. Saranno presenti: Zehus SpA, con i suoi progetti di design innovativo applicato alla bici e l’Art&Bike GilcoLab che, oltre alla sua esposizione di pezzi unici su disegno originale Gilco, presenterà una nuova proposta di tubi ultraleggeri per il design di arredamento. Inoltre installazioni di giovani designer.

Legato al mondo delle biciclette è anche OFO, leader mondiale del bike sharing senza stazioni fisse fondata nel 2014 e con sede a Pechino, in Cina. Sarà presente con una postazione dedicata all’interno del capannone Din – Design In, in quanto il distretto di Lambrate farà parte delle tappe imperdibili del perscorso ciclistico organizzato all’interno della città.

FOOD
Gli eventi non termineranno però alle 20:00 con la chiusura delle porte: si rinnovano anche quest’anno WEating nel giardino interno di Din – Design In e Just StrEat Week – Street Food Experience presso Giardino Ventura. Sarà un’occasione unica di ritrovo per intrattenersi fino a tarda serata, vivendo a pieno l’energia del quartiere.

WEating 2018, nel giardino interno di Din – Design In, offrirà una selezione studiata di Food Truck, in uno spazio dedicato e allestito come un vero e proprio evento dentro l’evento. Comune denominatore tra le realtà presenti è la passione per il gusto, l’amore per la terra e i suoi prodotti, ma soprattutto l’ineccepibile attenzione per la forma, rappresentando un ponte di passaggio tra le esposizioni. Il Lambrate Design District vuole fare di queste eccellenze il proprio punto di forza per proporre ai visitatori un’esperienza ricca di emozioni, spunti culturali e divertimento, che sia non solo di supporto, ma che vada a completare l’esperienza dell’esposizione.

“Just StrEat Week” è la Street Food Experience d’autore presso Giardino Ventura di Lambrate tra street food da gustare via App, musica e drink. Con Just Eat il meglio dello street food d’Italia e del mondo si gusta al Fuorisalone! Tra cocktail e musica con dj set elettrizzanti si potrà ordinare cibo di strada da tutto il mondo da 10 diversi food truck direttamente via app di Just Eat! Ogni giorno al tramonto, a partire dalle ore 19.00, un Dj-Set con Dj e produttori internazionali – come Stylophonic noto per le collaborazioni e i successi internazionali nonché progetti di sound design, saranno la colonna sonora della Just StrEat Week.

L’enorme dinamicità di questi eventi contribuiranno a rendere pulsante e coinvolgente il cuore del Lambrate Design District.
