In the heart of Milan, in a spectacular location, from 7 to 30 June Davide Montanaro will exhibit Scales, its innovative and refined surface in extremely thin stainless steel.

Organized by Prodes Italia in partnership with The Brian&Barry Building, in conjunction with the start of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the exhibition aims to be the pilot event that sanctions the collaboration between the two companies on the occasion of the Milan Jewelry Week, scheduled from 20 to 23 October 2022.

The focus will be on the works designed by Davide Montanaro – studiodsgn, born in Cuneo but Milanese by adoption, who has been involved in industrial design since 2000. His activity as a designer ranges between the several worlds of industrial design: from the design of lacing systems for trekking shoes to modular systems for bookcases, from lamps to exhibition stands, and passing through products for museum bookshops. Distinctive features of his activity are the continuous research and the transfer of materials and technologies from different industrial sectors.

The protagonist of the exhibition, Scales is a malleable stainless steel surface, created thanks to careful research and the mix of the production technology of chemical photo-blanking and the craftsmanship for shaping the shape. From a standardized industrial process we arrive at extreme customization of shapes, passing from the series to the particular.

Only 0.2mm thick, Spaces is a light and very detailed surface that can be used as a decorative panel, or even become a lamp characterized by various shapes and applications.

The Brian&Barry Building, a prestigious 1950s building by architect Muzio with an incomparable view of the Duomo and the city center, which reveals the most seductive side with the suggestive night lighting, hosts the exhibition. In particular, it will be possible to admire the works of Davide Montanaro through an exhibition that will start on the ground floor and end on floor 2.

The department store, located on the corner of via Durini and San Babila, a few steps from the Duomo, in the heart where the life of Milan pulsates day and night and the movement is concentrated and expands in every direction, will be the ideal setting to present the new Scales surface.

The Brian&Barry Building, together with Prodes Italia, has decided to focus on designer Davide Montanaro to create a project that involves several realities. During the exhibition, in fact, a company from the wine sector, Alberto Massucco Champagne, is also involved, delighting the palates of visitors by offering them a glass of bubbles.

The collaboration between Alberto Massucco Champagne and Prodes Italia began with the participation in the Milanese event, organized by the latter company, Best Wine Stars.

The contribution of Alberto Massucco Champagne, who brings the true soul of champagne to Italy, will make the 10th June event even more unique, giving all fans of bubbles an explosion of flavors in their glasses, through one of the champagnes carefully selected by the company, Crème by Jean-Philippe Trousset.

Jean-Philippe Trousset is a small Maison located at the foot of the Montagne de Reims that, thanks to the freshness of its champagnes, has conquered the importer and distributor Alberto Massucco, always passionate about champagne.

Always attentive to innovation, the promotion of great talents and the enhancement of companies, Prodes Italia has once again created an event that, thanks to the union of large and small realities, will give visitors an exclusive and original experience.

COMPANY PROFILE: The event is an initiative of the Prodes Italia group, that has been operating for years in the high jewelry, design and art sector. Founder of the annual event consolidated over the years Artistar Jewels, Prodes Italia reflects the same uniqueness and style in this new project. Scales, la superficie decorativa in esposizione al Brian&Barry

Nel cuore di Milano, in una location spettacolare, dal 7 al 30 Giugno Davide Montanaro esporrà Scales, la sua innovativa e ricercata superficie in acciaio inox sottilissima.

Organizzata da Prodes Italia in partnership con The Brian&Barry Building e in concomitanza con l’inizio del Salone del Mobile di Milano, l’esposizione vuole essere l’evento pilota che sancisce la collaborazione tra le due aziende in occasione della Milano Jewelery Week, in programma dal 20 al 23 ottobre 2022.

Al centro dell’attenzione ci saranno le opere progettate da Davide Montanaro – studiodsgn, cuneese di nascita, ma milanese d’adozione, che si occupa di industrial design dal 2000. La sua attività di progettista spazia tra i vari mondi dell’industrial design: dalla progettazione di sistemi di allaccio per scarpe da trekking a sistemi modulari per librerie, da lampade a stand espositivi, passando attraverso prodotti per bookshop museali. Caratteri distintivi della sua attività sono la ricerca continua ed il trasferimento di materiali e tecnologie da diversi settori industriali.

Protagonista dell’esposizione, Scales è una superficie in acciaio inox plasmabile, nata grazie ad un attento lavoro di ricerca e all’unione tra la tecnologia produttiva della fototranciatura chimica e la manualità artigianale per la plasmatura della forma.  Da un processo industriale standardizzato si arriva ad un’estrema personalizzazione di forme, passando dalla serie al particolare.

Spessa soltanto 0,2mm, Spaces è una superficie leggera e molto ricca di dettagli, che può essere utilizzata come pannello decorativo, o addirittura diventare una lampada caratterizzata da forme e applicazioni varie.

Ad ospitare l’esposizione il The Brian&Barry Building, un prestigioso palazzo anni ‘50 dell’architetto Muzio con una vista impareggiabile su Duomo e centro città, che svela il lato più seducente con la suggestiva illuminazione notturna. In particolare, sarà possibile ammirare le opere di Davide Montanaro attraverso un percorso espositivo che avrà il suo inizio al piano terra e si concluderà al piano 2.

Il department store, situato all’angolo fra via Durini e San Babila, a pochi passi dal Duomo, nel cuore dove la vita di Milano pulsa notte e giorno e il movimento si concentra e si espande in ogni direzione, sarà la cornice ideale in cui presentare la nuova superficie Scales.

The Brian&Barry Building, insieme a Prodes Italia, ha deciso di puntare sul designer Davide Montanaro per dar vita ad un progetto che coinvolge varie realtà. Durante l’esposizione, infatti, è stata coinvolta anche un’azienda del settore enologico, Alberto Massucco Champagne, che delizierà i palati dei visitatori, offrendo loro un calice di bollicine.

La collaborazione tra Alberto Massucco Champagne e Prodes Italia è iniziata con la partecipazione alla kermesse milanese, da quest’ultima azienda organizzata, Best Wine Stars.

Il contributo di Alberto Massucco Champagne, che porta in Italia il vero animo dello champagne, renderà ancora più unico l’evento espositivo del 10 Giugno, regalando a tutti gli appassionati di bollicine un’esplosione di sapori a portata di calice, attraverso uno degli champagne attentamente selezionato dall’azienda, Crème di Jean-Philippe Trousset.

Jean Philippe Trousset è piccola Maison situata ai piedi della Montagne de Reims che, grazie alla freschezza dei suoi champagne ha conquistato l’importatore e distributore Alberto Massucco, da sempre appassionato conoscitore di champagne.
