We want to thank everyone, visitors, exhibitors, journalists, partners, location owners, fitters and supporters of all kinds who have believed in the Lambrate Design District project all these years and allowed us to carry out a great and iconic event during the Milan Design Week.

The last Fuorisalone in Lambrate took place in 2019 with over 13,000 square meters set up, 400 international exhibitors and 100,000 visitors.
In 2020 due to the restrictions implemented to contain the spread of the pandemic and in 2021 the postponement of the Salone del Mobile to September made it impossible for us to carry out an event that lived up to the expectations of our exhibitors and visitors.
In the past two years, Lambrate has started an urban refunctionalization, leading to a transformation of many locations previously used as a stage for the events. This change has seen the conversion of over 60% of the square meters previously available for the Fuorisalone into residences. For this reason, from 2022 the Fuorisalone in Lambrate, as everyone knew it, will no longer be able to take place as the remaining locations do not guarantee the economic sustainability necessary for the entire event.

Studio Agnelli, founder of the Lambrate Design District brand and Prodes Italia, a company that has organized events within the District since 2013 and has coordinated the entire event since 2018, dissolve their historic relationship to give life to other projects.

Enzo Carbone CEO of Prodes Italia says:
“The Lambrate District has been for us a magical and favourable place for the development of our business which was born indeed with the organization of events in the design sector and then developed over the years also in other segments such as jewelry, art, fashion, food & beverage. It is a great regret for us to leave the District, but the organization of the entire event involved considerable costs that can no longer be covered by managing the locations that are left available. For example, the conversion of the iconic Hangar in via Massimiano 6, a location of over 5000 square meters where we held the DIN event for 7 years, which involved hundreds of designers from all over the world.
The solidity of our reality has allowed us to overcome these difficult years in peace, we have reorganized and launched new important projects. Anyways, the design sector is the one we started from and it is the one for which I personally feel a special affection. For this reason, the Fuorisalone cannot end here for us, we are working on a new format to present in 2023 in another area of Milan. In the meantime, for this Fuorisalone 2022, we will organize an event in partnership with Brian & Barry inside the building located in via Durini”

Gentilissimi tutti, vogliamo ringraziare tutti quanti, visitatori, espositori, giornalisti,partner, proprietari di location, allestitori e sostenitori di ogni genere che hanno creduto in tutti questi anni nel progetto Lambrate Design District e hanno dato la possibilità di svolgere un grande e iconico evento durante la Milano Design Week.

L’ultimo Fuorisalone a Lambrate si è svolto nel 2019 con oltre 13.000 metri quadri allestiti, 400 espositori internazionali e 100.000 visitatori.
Nel 2020 le restrizioni attuate per contenere il diffondersi della pandemia e nel 2021 lo slittamento del Salone del Mobile a Settembre ci hanno portato all’impossibilità di svolgere una manifestazione all’altezza delle aspettative dei nostri espositori e visitatori.
In questi due anni a Lambrate è partita una rifunzionalizzazione urbana che ha portato ad una trasformazione di molte location prima utilizzate per lo svolgimento degli eventi. Tale cambiamento ha visto la conversione di oltre il 60% dei metri quadri, precedentemente disponibili per il Fuorisalone , in residenze. Per tale motivo dal 2022 il Fuorisalone di Lambrate, così come tutti lo hanno conosciuto, non si potrà più svolgere in quanto le location rimaste disponibili non garantiscono una sostenibilità economica necessaria allo svolgimento dell’intera manifestazione.

Lo Studio Agnelli, fondatore del brand Lambrate Design District e Prodes Italia, società che dal 2013 ha organizzato eventi all’interno del Distretto e che dal 2018 ha coordinato tutta la manifestazione, sciolgono il loro storico rapporto per dare vita ad altri progetti.

“Il Distretto di Lambrate è stato per noi un posto magico e favorevole allo sviluppo della nostra attività che nasce appunto con l’organizzazione di eventi nel settore del design per poi svilupparsi negli anni anche in altri segmenti quali gioiello, arte, fashion, food&beverage. È per noi un grande dispiacere lasciare il Distretto, l’organizzazione di tutta la manifestazione prevedeva dei costi notevoli che non è più possibile ricoprire con la gestione delle location rimaste disponibili. Prima tra tutte la riconversione dell’iconico Hangar di via Massimiano 6, location di oltre 5000 metri quadri dove abbiamo svolto per 7 anni l’evento DIN che coinvolgeva centinaia di designer provenienti da tutto il Mondo.
La solidità della nostra realtà ci ha permesso di superare in tranquillità questi anni difficili, ci siamo riorganizzati e abbiamo lanciato nuovi importanti progetti. Il settore del design è comunque quello da dove siamo partiti ed è quello al quale personalmente dedico un affetto particolare. Per tale motivo il Fuorisalone, per noi, non può finire qui, stiamo infatti lavorando ad un nuovo format da realizzare nel 2023 in un’altra area di Milano. Intanto, per questo Fuorisalone, organizzeremo in partnership con Brian & Barry un evento all’interno del Building di via Durini”
