The Best Wine Stars event is just around the corner

The Milanese tasting event will provide its visitors a full immersion in the world of wine and spirits, through many interesting insights on the sector.

Milan, 9th May 2023 – Inside the evocative location of Palazzo del Ghiaccio, from 20 to 22 May will stage Best Wine Stars, the tasting event sponsored by the city of Milan, that puts under the spotlight selected Italian and international companies, from the food, wine and spirits sectors.

For this edition, the focus is to enhance the tale of the history and uniqueness of each wine and distillate. In fact, there will be many moments of in-depht study that will enrich the three days of the event.

The masterclasses, chaired by the writer, digital narrator, sommelier and entrepreneur Adua Villa accompanied by a team of speakers of excellence, will take place on Saturday the 20th        and Sunday the 21st of May.

Opening the calendar, full of appointments, will be Adua Villa and Stefania Vinciguerra with two dedicated masterclasses. The first one by Varvaglione is entitled “Discovery of Primitivo… and not only“, while the second  one by Col Vetoraz Spumanti is focused on “VALDIBBIADENE DOCG, the vertical that you do not expect“.

The Tasting Room by Bartales Bitter is Better”, led by Fabio Bacchi, will be dedicated to the world of the distillates, and in particular to the history and evolution of the bitter through the tasting of the products of the companies: Cardamaro, Formidabile, Rossi D’Angera, Sarandrea, Sibilla, Sirene e Tonico Pugliese.

On saturday afternoon, Francesco Quarna will accompany Adua Villa during the appointments “Sensitive to Sustainability“, starring the companies Borgoverde Soc Agricola S.S., Bulichella, Marisa Cuomo and Monviert, and “Wine on Tour” where you can taste the labels of Cantina Nepos Villae, Cantina La Lignite and Azienda Agricola del Frassino di Zenato Carlo.

The vertical masterclasses scheduled on Sunday will be “Journey through the terroirs of Veneto” by Terre del Dogado and “The Langhe” by L’Astemia Pentita chaired by Adua Villa and Alessandra Piubello. Valentina Vercelli, finally, will assist Adua during the tastings of the products of the companies Fiorotto 1934 with masterclass entitled “A Family Story“, Consorzio Terre di Reggio Calabria Between myth and present” and Champagne Jarry Héritage that will treat “The expression of Chardonnay coming from the same territory interpreted through different winemaking processes“.

On Monday 22nd May  there will be talks and round tables that will involve the journalist, television presenter and “chronicler of gastronomy” Edoardo Raspelli, who will tell his story during an interview that will simultaneously retrace the path of Italian food and wine of the last 50 years; the journalist of Il Sole 24 Ore, writer and teacher of digital communication Barbara Sgarzi who will deepen the topic “Wine, Women and Leadership“; Paola Longo, owner of Enoteca Longo, in the heart of Legnano, with which she won the Oscar as the best wine shop in Italy in 2000, will focus on “The art of giving food&wine”, taking the audience through a journey in the wine sector, skilfully interweaving the history of a passion and that of a company. Moreover, Marco Boldrini, sommelier, owner of several Italian restaurants in the Netherlands and consultant of a Japanese company that imports Italian wine excellencies, will investigate the close relationship between wines and catering, while Antonietta Tummolo, Best Wine Stars Ambassador, will present the Project  “VENUS and BACCHUS” The Myths of Wine. Exclusive patroness of the event the Basilicata Region. Take part, in remote connection, Vito Bardi, President Regione Basilicata, Alessandro Galella, Councillor for Productive Activities, Work, Training and Sport, and Ivana Enrica Pipponzi, Regional Councillor for Equality.  The participation for the 2024 Edition of the National Association of “Le Donne del Vino”- Delegazione Lucana will mark the debut of a new presence,  the feminine presence in the world of wine, from the sacred to the profane, starting from two mythological figures with multiple interpretations. The economic focus will also show  the increasing number of Women who operate and work in the world of wine with excellent results.

On Sunday, May 21st at 10:30 will take place the ceremony of the Best Wine Stars Awards that will award several prizes and awards: Best Sparkling Wine, Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Spirits and Best Rosè Wine. The winners of these categories will receive free participation in the 2024 edition; the winning companies of the Best Logo and Best Label awards will have the opportunity to be involved as Wine Sponsors in international events organized by Prodes Italia. The Landini Prize awarded by the Italian brand belonging to the Argo Tractors Group, as Main Sponsor, will select the best winery that will win the commemorative plaque and a voucher for the purchase of a Landini agricultural tractor.

The award ceremony that will be held inside the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in the Sala Piranesi, is open not only to the exhibiting companies, but also to journalists of the sector.

Important consortia and associations of the Italian panorama will also participate to the event, such as the aforementioned Consorzio Terre di Reggio Calabria, the Consorzio di Tutela del Primitivo di Manduria, the Consorzio dei Vini Piceni, the Istituto Marchigiano di Tutela Vini, Assovini Sicilia and the Consorzio Italbiotec.

Also numerous, are the companies producing spirits, which will be available for tasting in the Spirits Area. In particular, bitters and liqueurs presented by companies Albergian, Archè, Grigno Spirits, Palombaro, Passarè Antico Molise, Silvio Carta and Spirito del Farmacista. As for gin producers, however, there will be Alfa Spirits, Alta Marea Gin, CàMai Gin, Pordenon Roberto’s 52F Line, GINMILANO, GiniRock, Lacus Dry Gin, Stilldrinks, The Artisan and Trevisi Gin.

In the Food Area Agorà from Ascoli Piceno with its tipical Ascolan olives, Antica Focacceria S. Francesco will delight the palates of visitors with their proposals of Sicilian products, Pastificio Gioia offers handmade pasta and typical Calabrian sauces, Revolucion Cocina Messicana with South American dishes and Sushita with Japanese cuisine.

A new feature of Best Wine Stars 2023 will be “Best Wine Stars Business Dinner“, an initiative that will allow selected companies to cross the borders of Palazzo del Ghiaccio and present their products during two exclusive dinners that will take place in the elegant and innovative SIX Milano, in the heart of Porta Nuova. During the evenings of May 20 and 21, in fact, buyers and journalists will be able to discover more closely the excellencies of each company combined with dishes specifically designed for each label.

Important foreign buyers and importers from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, England, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic and Sweden will be present at the event. Important digital creators from the food and wine sector have been involved to report the three days of the event through live contents, interviews, videos and reels for a smarter and digital audience amplifying the visibility of the initiative.

The event will take place from 20 to 22 May at Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Via Giovanni Battista Piranesi, 14 – Milan, with the following hours: 20/21 May at 12:00 – 21:00, 22 May at 10:00 – 18:00

Entrances are open from 12:00 to 19:00, while Monday entrances will be closed at 16:00.

The entry to the event is free for all professionals and journalists.

Sommeliers are entitled to a 50% discount on the purchase price.

Lovers can buy the ticket to enter the event; a 20% discount is reserved for those who will make the purchase by 14 May 2023. From 15 May onwards the cost of the ticket will be 25 euros.

The accreditation or ticket entitles you to access the event, unlimited tastings, tasting glasses and participation in Masterclasses and talks, upon reservation (seats are limited).

La kermesse Best Wine Stars è alle porte

L’evento di degustazione milanese regalerà ai propri visitatori una full immersion nel mondo del vino e dei distillati, attraverso numerosi e interessanti approfondimenti sul settore.

Milano, 9 Maggio 2023 – All’interno della suggestiva location di Palazzo del Ghiaccio, dal 20 al 22 Maggio andrà in scena Best Wine Stars, l’evento degustazione patrocinato dal comune di Milano, che pone sotto i riflettori aziende italiane ed internazionali selezionate, provenienti dal settore enogastronomico e dei distillati.

Per questa edizione, si è voluto valorizzare il racconto della storia e dell’unicità di ogni singolo vino e distillato. Saranno, infatti, numerosi i momenti di approfondimento che arricchiranno le tre giornate della manifestazione.

Le masterclass, presiedute dalla scrittrice, narratrice digitale, sommelier e imprenditrice Adua Villa affiancata da un team di relatori di eccellenza, si svolgeranno nelle giornate di Sabato 20 e Domenica 21 maggio.

Ad aprire il calendario, fitto di appuntamenti, saranno Adua Villa e Stefania Vinciguerra con due masterclass dedicate alle aziende Varvaglione dal titolo “Scoperta del Primitivo… e non solo” e Col Vetoraz Spumanti, incentrata sul “VALDIBBIADENE DOCG, la verticale che non ti aspetti”.

Bitter is Better” la Tasting Room di Bartales, guidata da Fabio Bacchi sarà dedicata al mondo dei distillati, in particolare alla storia e all’evoluzione dell’amaro attraverso le degustazione dei prodotti delle aziende: Cardamaro, Formidabile, Rossi D’Angera, Sarandrea, Sibilla, Sirene e Tonico Pugliese.

Sabato pomeriggio, Francesco Quarna affiancherà Adua Villa durante gli appuntamenti “Sensibili alla Sostenibilità”, con protagoniste le aziende Borgoverde Soc Agricola S.S., Bulichella, Marisa Cuomo e Monviert, e “Vini on Tour” in cui sarà possibile degustare le etichette di Cantina Nepos Villae, Cantina La Lignite e Azienda Agricola del Frassino di Zenato Carlo.

Le masterclass verticali previste nella giornata di domenica saranno “Viaggio i terroir del Veneto” dell’azienda Terre del Dogado e “Le Langhe” di L’Astemia Pentita presiedute da Adua Villa e Alessandra Piubello. Valentina Vercelli, infine, coadiuverà Adua durante le degustazioni dei prodotti delle aziende Fiorotto 1934 con masterclass dal titolo “Una storia di Famiglia”, del Consorzio Terre di Reggio Calabria Tra mito e presente” e dello Champagne Jarry Héritage che tratterà “L’espressione dello Chardonnay proveniente dallo stesso territorio interpretato attraverso diversi processi di vinificazione”.

Il lunedì 22 maggio sarà la giornata dedicata ai talk e alle tavole rotonde che coinvolgeranno: il giornalista, conduttore televisivo e “cronista della gastronomia” Edoardo Raspelli, che si racconterà durante un’intervista ripercorrendo parallelamente anche la storia dell’enogastronomia italiana degli ultimi 50 anni; la giornalista de Il Sole 24 Ore, scrittrice e docente di comunicazione digitale Barbara Sgarzi che approfondirà l’argomento “Vino, Donne e Leadership” e Paola Longo, proprietaria di Enoteca Longo, nel cuore di Legnano, con il quale nel 2000 ha vinto l’Oscar come miglior enoteca d’Italia, che si concentrerà su “L’arte di regalare food&wine”, accompagnando il pubblico attraverso un viaggio nel settore del vino, intrecciando sapientemente la storia di una passione e quella di un’azienda. Inoltre, Marco Boldrini, sommelier, proprietario di diversi ristoranti italiani in Olanda e consulente per una società giapponese che importa eccellenze dell’enologia italiana, indagherà lo stretto rapporto tra vini e ristorazione, mentre Antonietta Tummolo, Best Wine Stars Ambassador, presenterà in prima assoluta il Progetto “VENERE e BACCO” I Miti del Vino. Madrina esclusiva dell’Evento la Regione Basilicata. Interverranno, in collegamento da remoto, Vito Bardi, Presidente Regione Basilicata, Alessandro Galella, Assessore alle Attività produttive, Lavoro, Formazione e Sport, ed Ivana Enrica Pipponzi, Consigliera regionale di Parità.  La partecipazione per l’Edizione 2024 dell’Associazione Nazionale de “Le Donne del Vino”- Delegazione Lucana  segnerà l’esordio di una nuova presenza, declinata al femminile del mondo del vino, dal sacro al profano, partendo da due figure mitologiche dalle molteplici interpretazioni. Focus  economico anche sul numero  sempre più crescente di donne che operano e lavorano nel mondo del vino con risultati eccellenti.

Domenica 21 Maggio alle ore 10:30 si svolgerà la cerimonia dei Best Wine Stars Awards che assegnerà numerosi premi e riconoscimenti: Best Sparkling Wine, Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Spirits e Best Rosè Wine. I vincitori di queste categorie riceveranno la partecipazione gratuita all’edizione 2024; le aziende vincitrici dei premi Best Logo e Best Label avranno l’opportunità di essere coinvolte come Wine Sponsor in eventi internazionali organizzati da Prodes Italia. Il Premio Landini assegnato dal brand italiano appartenente al Gruppo Argo Tractors, in veste di Main Sponsor, invece, selezionerà la miglior cantina a cui consegnerà la targa celebrativa e un buono per l’acquisto di un trattore agricolo Landini.

La cerimonia di premiazione che si terrà all’interno di Palazzo del Ghiaccio nella Sala Piranesi, è aperta oltre che alle aziende espositrici, a giornalisti del settore.

Parteciperanno all’evento anche importanti consorzi e associazioni del panorama italiano, come il già citato Consorzio Terre di Reggio Calabria, il Consorzio di Tutela del Primitivo di Manduria, il Consorzio dei Vini Piceni, l’Istituto Marchigiano di Tutela Vini, Assovini Sicilia e il Consorzio Italbiotec.

Numerose, anche le aziende produttrici di distillati, presenti nell’Area Spirits. In particolare, gli amari e i liquori presentati dalle aziende Albergian, Archè, Grigno Spirits, Palombaro, Passarè Antico Molise, Silvio Carta e Spirito del Farmacista. Per quanto riguarda i produttori di gin, invece, ci saranno Alfa Spirits, Alta Marea Gin, CàMai Gin, 52F Line di Pordenon Roberto, GINMILANO, GiniRock, Lacus Dry Gin, Stilldrinks, The Artisan e Trevisi Gin.

Nell’Area Food delizieranno i palati dei visitatori con le loro proposte: Agorà di Ascoli Piceno con le tipiche Olive Ascolane, Antica Focacceria S. Francesco con i suoi prodotti siciliani, Pastificio Gioia che propone pasta prodotta artigianalmente e sughi tipici calabresi, Revolucion Cocina Messicana con piatti sudamericani e Sushita con la cucina giapponese.

Novità di Best Wine Stars 2023 sarà “Best Wine Stars Business Dinner”, iniziativa che permetterà ad alcune aziende selezionate di varcare i confini di Palazzo del Ghiaccio e presentare i propri prodotti durante due cene esclusive che si svolgeranno all’interno dell’elegante ed innovativo SIX Milano, nel cuore di Porta Nuova. Durante le serate del 20 e 21 maggio, infatti, buyer e giornalisti potranno scoprire più da vicino le eccellenze di ogni singola azienda abbinata a piatti appositamente pensati per ciascuna etichetta.

Saranno presenti alla manifestazione delegazioni di importanti buyer e importatori stranieri provenienti da Austria, Belgio, Danimarca, Germania, Inghilterra, Olanda, Polonia, Rep. Ceca e Svezia. Sono stati coinvolti importanti creator digitali del settore enogastronomico che racconteranno le tre giornate di evento attraverso contenuti in diretta, interviste, video e reel per un pubblico più smart e digitale amplificando la visibilità dell’iniziativa.

La manifestazione si svolgerà dal 20 e al 22 maggio presso il Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Via Giovanni Battista Piranesi, 14 – Milano, con i seguenti orari: 20/21 maggio ore 12:00 – 21:00, 22 maggio ore 10:00 – 18:00

Gli ingressi sono aperti dalle 12:00 alle 19:00, invece il lunedì gli ingressi verranno chiusi alle 16:00.

L’ingresso all’evento è gratuito per tutti gli operatori del settore e giornalisti.

I sommelier hanno diritto ad uno sconto del 50% sul prezzo d’acquisto.

I lover possono acquistare il biglietto per accedere alla manifestazione, è riservato uno sconto del 20% per coloro che effettueranno l’acquisto entro il 14 Maggio 2023. Dal 15 maggio in poi il costo del biglietto sarà di 25 euro.
