The city of Milan set the stage for the grand international jewelry festival

The third edition of the Milano Jewelry Week concluded with overwhelmingly positive feedback and an increase in both national and international attendance.

Milan, Oct. 23, 2023 – Yesterday marked the end of the third edition of Milano Jewelry Week, a week sponsored by the City of Milan and C.N.A. Federmoda, which brought more than 100 events to life in the heart of Milan from October 17 to 22.

Several new features were introduced for this latest edition, resulting in an increased number of visitors and significant interest from industry experts, especially buyers and press officers both national and international.

“We are delighted with the excellent feedback from visitors who participated in these events across the Milan area. Our aim was to bring people closer to the jewelry sector and allow everyone to discover what lies behind a piece of jewelry. We achieved our objective, thanks to the participation not only of experts but also of numerous enthusiasts who, at the various events, had the opportunity to admire the beauty of the different creations up close,” commented Enzo Carbone, CEO of Prodes Italia, the founding company of Milano Jewelry Week.

Over 350 exhibitors from 40 different countries were welcomed to prestigious locations in the heart of Milan. From October 19 to 22, the city hosted the three iconic collective events of the Week, along with special events, themed exhibitions, workshops, live performances, talks, conferences, and cocktail parties.

The Galdus School hosted the Talent Show, which featured the participation of international schools and academies, showcasing the jewelry creations of their young talents.

The Jewelry HUB, an exclusive and innovative event held at La Pelota, highlighted niche brands that exhibited and presented their new collections.

Finally, Artistar Jewels, now in its ninth edition, enriched Palazzo Bovara with a group exhibition dedicated to artistic jewelry. The exhibition featured over 220 artists from around

the world and included a special area dedicated to the masterpieces of three indisputable guests: Alessio BoschiAlex Wong, and Wallis Hong.

On October 19th, the Vernissage of Artistar Jewels took place at Palazzo Bovara. Artists, journalists, and various guests were warmly welcomed into the evocative halls of the building for an entire evening dedicated to admiring the wonderful jewels on display while savoring a glass of Spumante Brut Borgofulvia.

To enliven the evening, artist Rossano Ferrari presented his pictorial work “Mosaic Jem“, and there was a fashion show by Gianni Tolentino, designer and Massinissa Askeur, internationally renowned symbolist, both winners of the Leone D’Oro at the Venice Festival. The models showcased the jewels by wearing them, while Stefania Conti, the host of Star Z N TV, conducted interviews with the artists present at the Vernissage.

During the Milan Jewelry Week Awarding Night on October 18th at the Teatro San Babila, the names of the MJW Awards recipients were announced. These prestigious awards, selected by a jury of experts, were given to participating exhibitors of the Week.

Massimo Perini, the Commercial Director of Cantine 4 Valli, presented the Borgofulvia Award on behalf of the event’s wine sponsor to the artist Zuo Na.

The Best Exclusive Jewelry Designer award, presented by Muriel PiaserFounder of PRECIOUS ROOM by MP tradeshow & Muriel Piaser Consulting, was granted to Crismann Christian Nasr.

Lupo Gioielli‘s work piqued the interest of Guido SolariFounder and owner of the School Goldsmith Ambrosiana and Director of the headquarters at Via Tortona 26, who bestowed upon them the Best in Technique Award.

The Bryna Pomp Award, handed out by Bryna PompDirector of MAD About Jewelry, went to the artist Austin Turley, while Laura Inghirami, Opinion Leader in the world of jewelry and the Founder of Donna Jewel, selected Incarnem by Marine Billet as the recipient of the Best in Creativity award.

A.N.T.I.C.O. recognized Gioielleria Liviani with the Best Antique Jewelry award. Villa Milano, on the other hand, was honored with the Best in Milan award, chosen by AOL – Associazione Orafa Lombarda.

Nicola Bacchilega, with his brand DEFAIENCE, clinched the Best Innovative Design award, bestowed by HRD Antwerp.

Finally, ACJ – The Association for Contemporary Jewellery declared the artist Inbar Avneri as the winner of the Best in Contemporary Jewellery award.

Special prizes were reserved for the participants of the Artistar Jewels exhibition. Three awards were granted to exhibitors Sergey IzmestievSpinelli Gioielli, and Wenyin Jiang, whose exhibited creations were selected as the best by a jury composed of Alessio BoschiBryna PompGuido Solari, and Muriel Piaser.

The Assamblage Award, presented by the Assamblage National Contemporary Jewelry Association, was won by BP_Barbara ProverbioCeline Poudroux Creation, and Madjoi Jewels.

Furthermore, international gallery partners of the event selected projects to be included in their exhibitions. Specifically, Carlo Lucidi Gallery chose to recognize Arro by Nana WatanabeLamia Saab Design by Lamia Saab AmundsenPhaniac by Stefania CurreliHanjie Kong, Austin TurleyDaria Lutskevich, and Wenyin Jiang.

Eleni Marneri Gallery selected Acqua by Elena OrlovaGarden of Wind by Jaehee JungHanna KaufmanMichele White, and The Rock Hound by Susi Smither as the featured artists. Galeria Alice Floriano chose Inbar AvneriWenyin JiangAnastasiia Slanko, and Anli Hou.

Frangipani Stúdió & Gallery recognized BP_Barbara ProverbioAngelica Krieg, and Paradise Feathers by Andrezza ValentinSECOND PETALE Gallery selected Defaience by Nicola Bacchilega and The Rock Hound by Susi Smither for collaboration. Finally, Galleri Sebastian Schildt declared Inbar Avneri and Julie Martre as the winners.

An exclusive evening dedicated to acknowledgments preceded the opening of the collective exhibitions. This special event provided an opportunity for more than 350 exhibitors to come together, celebrate the beauty of this sector, and establish a network of connections among participants from different territories and cultures. These attendees have chosen Milan as their meeting point for the entire week.

La città di Milano palcoscenico della grande festa del gioiello internazionale

La terza edizione della Milano Jewelry Week si è conclusa con un riscontro più che positivo e un incremento di presenze nazionali e internazionali.

Milano, 23 ottobre 2023 – È terminata ieri la terza edizione della Milano Jewelry Week – settimana patrocinata dal Comune di Milano e C.N.A. Federmoda – che dal 17 al 22 Ottobre ha animato la città meneghina con oltre 100 eventi distribuiti per le vie del centro.

Sono state svariate le novità introdotte per quest’ultima edizione che ha visto un incremento del numero di visitatori e avvertito un grande interesse da parte degli esperti del settore, in particolare buyer e addetti stampa provenienti dal territorio nazionale ed internazionale.

Siamo molto felici dell’ottimo riscontro ottenuto dai visitatori che hanno preso parte a questa manifestazione diffusa sul territorio di Milano. La nostra idea era quella di far avvicinare la gente al settore e permettere a tutti di scoprire cosa c’è dietro ad un gioiello. Obiettivo raggiunto grazie al coinvolgimento non solo di esperti del mondo del gioiello ma anche di tanti appassionati che nei vari eventi hanno potuto ammirare da vicino la bellezza delle diverse creazioni in esposizione.” – questo il commento di Enzo Carbone, CEO di Prodes Italia, azienda fondatrice della Milano Jewelry Week.

Oltre 350 espositori provenienti da 40 paesi diversi sono stati accolti in location prestigiose situate nel cuore di Milano, dove dal 19 al 22 Ottobre hanno avuto luogo i tre iconici eventi collettivi della Week, in aggiunta a eventi speciali, mostre a tema, workshop, live performance, talk, conferenze e cocktail party.

Presso la Scuola Galdus si è svolto il Talent Show, che ha visto la partecipazione di scuole e accademie internazionali, portando in esposizione i gioielli dei loro giovani talenti.

The Jewelry HUB, l’evento esclusivo e innovativo che si è tenuto presso La Pelota, ha messo in luce i brand di nicchia che hanno esposto e presentato le loro nuove collezioni.

Infine, Artistar Jewels, giunto alla sua nona edizione, ha arricchito Palazzo Bovara con una mostra collettiva dedicata al gioiello artistico che prevedeva l’esposizione di oltre 220 artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo e un’area speciale dedicata ai capolavori di tre indiscutibili guest: Alessio BoschiAlex Wong e Wallis Hong.

Presso Palazzo Bovara, il 19 Ottobre, si è svolto anche il Vernissage di Artistar Jewels. Artisti, giornalisti e vari ospiti sono stati accolti all’interno delle suggestive sale del palazzo per un’intera serata dedicata alla contemplazione dei meravigliosi gioielli in esposizione, degustando un calice di Spumante Brut Borgofulvia.

Ad animare la serata, la live performance dell’artista Rossano Ferrari che ha presentato l’opera pittorica Mosaic Jem e la sfilata degli abiti dello stilista Gianni Tolentino e Massinissa Askeur, grande simbolista al livello internazionale, entrambi vincitori del Leone D’Oro al Festival di Venezia, impreziositi da alcuni dei gioielli in mostra che le modelle hanno indossato mentre la conduttrice di Star Z N TVStefania Conti, intervistava gli artisti presenti al Vernissage.

Infine, nel corso della Milano Jewelry Week Awarding Night del 18 Ottobre presso il Teatro San Babila sono stati annunciati i nomi degli MJW Awards, i prestigiosi premi che una giuria di esperti selezionata ha assegnato agli espositori partecipanti della Week.

Massimo Perini, Direttore Commerciale di Cantine 4 Valli, ha consegnato il premio Borgofulvia Award, offerto dal wine sponsor della manifestazione, all’artista Zuo Na.

Il riconoscimento Best Exclusive Jewelry Designer, assegnato da Muriel Piaser – Founder of PRECIOUS ROOM by MP tradeshow & Muriel Piaser Consulting, è stato vinto da Crismann Christian Nasr.

Il lavoro di Lupo Gioielli è sembrato interessante a Guido SolariFondatore e titolare della Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana e Direttore della sede di Via Tortona 26, che gli ha conferito il premio Best in Technique.

A vincere il premio Bryna Pomp Award, assegnato da Bryna PompDirector, MAD About Jewelry è stato l’artista Austin Turley, mentre Laura Inghirami, Opinion Leader del mondo della gioielleria e Founder Donna Jewel, ha selezionato Incarnem by Marine Billet come vincitrice del premio Best in Creativity.

Alla Gioielleria Liviani è stato assegnato da A.N.T.I.C.O. il premio Best Antique JewelryVilla Milano, invece, si è aggiudicato il premio Best in Milano, selezionato da AOL – Associazione Orafa Lombarda.

Il premio Best Innovative Design, assegnato da HRD Antwerp, è stato vinto da Nicola Bacchilega con il suo brand DEFAIENCE.

Infine, ACJ – The Association for Contemporary Jewellery, ha decretato come vincitore del premio Best in Contemporary Jewellery, l’artista Inbar Avneri.

Premi speciali sono stati riservati ai partecipanti dell’esposizione Artistar Jewels. Ben tre sono stati i riconoscimenti che si sono aggiudicati gli espositori di Artistar Jewels Sergey

Izmestiev, Spinelli Gioielli Wenyin Jiang. Una giuria composta da Alessio BoschiBryna PompGuido Solari e Muriel Piaser ha infatti selezionato le loro creazioni esposte come le migliori.

Il Premio Assamblage, assegnato da Assamblage National Contemporary Jewelry Association, invece, è stato vinto da BP_Barbara ProverbioCeline Poudroux Creation e Madjoi Jewels.

Infine, le gallerie internazionali partner della kermesse hanno selezionato i progetti da inserire all’interno delle proprie esposizioni. In particolare, la Galleria Carlo Lucidi ha scelto di premiare Arro di Nana WatanabeLamia Saab Design di Lamia Saab AmundsenPhaniac di Stefania CurreliHanjie KongAustin TurleyDaria Lutskevich e Wenyin Jiang.

Frangipani Stúdió & Gallery ha voluto premiare BP_Barbara ProverbioAngelica Krieg Paradise Feathers di Andrezza Valentin. La galleria SECOND PETALE ha selezionato per una collaborazione Defaience di Nicola Bacchilega e The Rock Hound di Susi Smither. Infine, Galleri Sebastian Schildt ha decretato come vincitori Inbar Avneri e Julie Martre.

Una serata speciale all’insegna di riconoscimenti che ha preceduto l’apertura delle mostre collettive e che ha permesso agli oltre 350 espositori di incontrarsi e confrontarsi accrescendo e celebrando la bellezza di questo settore, ma anche sviluppando una rete di networking tra realtà provenienti da territori e culture diversi, che hanno fatto della città di Milano il loro punto di incontro per l’intera settimana.
