Returning for its fifth year, Best Wine Stars is the must-attend event for enthusiasts, Horeca professionals, and industry press in the Wine & Spirits sector.

Milan, March 20, 2024 – Over 200 companies, including Italian and international wineries, champagne houses, distilleries, and gastronomic excellences, will gather at Palazzo del Ghiaccio from May 18 to 20 to participate in Best Wine Stars, the kermesse dedicated to the food & beverage sector, aiming to celebrate and promote the culture of participating companies and their products.

Around 1200 tasting labels will populate the parterre of the Liberty-style Milanese building, which with its 2400 square meters will be divided into various thematic areas: Italian Wine Area, International Wine Area, Organic Area, Spirits Area, and Food Area. This year, a new Tasting Area is introduced, dedicated to gastronomic excellences, notably featuring Love Gargano, the event’s technical partner, offering delicious taralli to accompany tastings, where culture, history, and ancient flavors intertwine.

The Fausto Lupetti Area, created in partnership with the homonymous publishing house, will host companies selected in the previous edition, reaffirming the commitment to strengthening ties with small companies operating in Southern Italy.

Moreover, within the Services Area, dedicated to non-producing entities but linked to the sector, renowned company Coravin specialized in wine industry tools, along with a wide range of Accessori da Vino, and innovative glass and bottle holders from Vin Strip will be showcased.

In addition to the walk-around tasting, this year will also offer a rich schedule of events, including 16 appointments spread over the three days. These will include vertical and group masterclasses led by digital entrepreneur and wine writer Adua Villa, along with other authoritative speakers. The Tasting Rooms, curated by Bartales, will focus on grappa, amaro, and vermouth, while in- depth talks conducted by industry experts, such as AGIVI‘s intervention on “Time”, will also be featured.

On Sunday, May 19, in the evocative setting of the Piranesi Hall at Palazzo del Ghiaccio, the eagerly awaited BWS Awards ceremony will take place, where renowned awards such as Best Sparkling Wine, Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Rosè Wine, Best Spirit, Best Herbal Liqueur, Best Logo, and Best Label will be presented. However, this year will introduce new competitions. Particularly, the Best Green Project award will be dedicated to the project that stands out for its focus on environmental sustainability. The Best Hospitality Project will instead reward excellence in hospitality within companies, including reception services, accommodation, catering, tasting, entertainment activities, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). Finally, the Best Vinum Innovation award will be given to the intuition or technical project that aims to respect and enhance the territorial wine culture innovatively, improving the quality of the produced wine.

This year will also see the prestigious Landini Prize, offered by the event’s Main Sponsor, being confirmed. This sought-after recognition, valued by participating companies, consists of a voucher for the purchase of a tractor, which will be awarded to the winning company.

One of the novelties of this edition will be the introduction of special mentions: Best Buyer Selection, awarded by a delegation of distributors and Ho.Re.Ca who will taste the different labels of the producers on Saturday, selecting those they find most interesting for their markets.

The new contest MILANO WINE EXPLORER – The Tips of Best Wine Stars will select and reward during the Best Wine Stars Awards some realities from the Milanese and Lombard panorama that stand out for their wine and spirits proposals, entering into a special guide dedicated to wine enthusiasts and urban explorers eager to discover the best wine proposals that Milan and Lombardy have to offer. The aim is to promote throughout the year those places such as restaurants, wine shops, cocktail bars, and wine bars that offer the most engaging experiences to the public.

As anticipated in recent months, the BWS Village, a new format for 2024, will represent a distinctive and refined space located on the Balcony of the Palazzo del Ghiaccio. Reserved for the press and industry professionals attending the event, this environment will be the ideal place for commercial meetings, negotiations, and buyer networking. Within this space, some of the participants will exhibit their labels to increase visibility and facilitate networking. During Monday’s session, buyers and journalists will be presented with a tasting kit containing some of the products from companies participating in the Village to thank them for their attention.

Finally, this year, to maximize the visibility of the kermesse’s protagonists, digital creators in the gastronomic and spirits field, Mattia Metta, Denise Oriani, Sara Piovano, and Roberto Alori, will be involved. Through a series of content disseminated through social networks, they will creatively narrate the event, amplifying its echo and engaging an increasingly wide audience. Also important will be the contribution of our partner Danitacom, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, which promotes Made in Italy in Scandinavia. We have collaborated with them to select a delegation of targeted buyers from Northern Europe who will meet the exhibitors of their interest.

Torna per il quinto anno Best Wine Stars, l’evento imperdibile per gli appassionati, gli Horeca e la stampa del settore Wine & Spirits.

Milano, 20 Marzo 2024 – Oltre 200 aziende, tra cui cantine italiane e internazionali, maison di champagne, produttori di distillati ed eccellenze gastronomiche, si riuniranno a Palazzo del Ghiaccio dal 18 al 20 Maggio per partecipare a Best Wine Stars, la kermesse dedicata al settore enogastronomico e dei distillati, che mira a celebrare e promuovere la cultura delle aziende partecipanti e dei loro prodotti.

Circa 1200 etichette in degustazione popoleranno il parterre dell’edificio milanese in stile Liberty, che con i suoi 2400 metri quadrati verrà suddiviso in varie aree tematiche: Area Vino Italia, Area Vino Internazionale, Area Bio, Area Spirits, e Area Food, e da quest’anno la nuova Area Tasting, dedicata alle eccellenze gastronomiche, tra cui spicca l’azienda Love Gargano, partner tecnico dell’evento, dove cultura e storia si intrecciano con gli antichi sapori e che fornirà i deliziosi taralli che accompagneranno le degustazioni.

Riconfermata l’Area Fausto Lupetti, realizzata grazie alla partnership con l’omonima casa editrice, che ospiterà nuovamente  le aziende selezionate nella scorsa edizione, confermando così l’impegno nel consolidare i legami con le piccole aziende che operano nel Sud Italia.

Infine, all’interno dell’Area Servizi, dedicata alle realtà non produttrici ma legate al settore, sarà possibile trovare Coravin, rinomata azienda specializzata nella produzione di strumenti per l’industria vinicola, insieme alla vasta gamma di Accessori da Vino e agli innovativi portabicchiere e portabottiglia di Vin Strip.

In aggiunta al walk-around tasting, anche quest’anno sarà offerto un ricco calendario di incontri, composto da 16 appuntamenti distribuiti nelle tre giornate. Questi includeranno masterclass verticali e di gruppo, guidate dall’imprenditrice digitale e winewriter Adua Villa, insieme ad altri autorevoli relatori. Le Tasting Rooms, curate da Bartales, saranno incentrate su grappe, amari e vermut, mentre saranno presenti talk di approfondimento condotti da esperti del settore, tra cui l’intervento di AGIVI sul tema “Il Tempo”.

Domenica 19 maggio, nella suggestiva cornice della Sala Piranesi di Palazzo del Ghiaccio, si terrà l’attesa cerimonia di premiazione dei BWS Awards, in cui saranno conferiti i rinomati riconoscimenti quali Best Sparkling Wine, Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Rosè Wine, Best Spirit, Best Herbal Liqueur, Best Logo e Best Label. Tuttavia, quest’anno, le novità non mancheranno, con l’introduzione di nuove categorie in concorso. In particolare, il premio Best Green Project sarà destinato al progetto che si distinguerà maggiormente per l’attenzione rivolta alla sostenibilità ambientale. Il Best Hospitality Project premierà invece l’eccellenza nell’ospitalità all’interno delle aziende, tra i quali servizi accoglienza e pernotto, ristorazione, degustazione, attività di intrattenimento e MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions). Infine, il premio Best Vinum Innovation sarà conferito all’intuizione o progetto tecnico che mira a rispettare e valorizzare la cultura vitivinicola territoriale in modo innovativo, migliorando la qualità del vino prodotto.

Anche quest’anno sarà confermata la presenza del prestigioso Premio Landini, offerto dal Main Sponsor dell’evento. Questo riconoscimento, ambito dalle aziende partecipanti, consiste in un buono per l’acquisto di un trattore, che verrà assegnato all’azienda vincitrice.

Una delle novità di questa edizione sarà l’introduzione delle menzioni speciali Best Buyer Selection, assegnati da una delegazione di distributori e Ho.Re.Ca che, nel corso della giornata di sabato, degusterà le diverse etichette dei produttori, selezionando quelle che riterranno più interessanti per i loro mercati.

Il nuovo contest MILANO WINE EXPLORER – I consigli di Best Wine Stars selezionerà e premierà durante i Best Wine Stars Awards alcune realtà del panorama milanese e lombardo, che si distinguono per le loro proposte di vini e spirits e che entreranno a far parte di una speciale guida, dedicata agli appassionati di vino ed esploratori urbani desiderosi di scoprire le migliori proposte enologiche che Milano e la Lombardia hanno da offrire. L’obiettivo sarà promuovere durante tutto l’anno quei luoghi come ristoranti, enoteche, cocktail e wine bar che offrono al pubblico l’esperienza più coinvolgente.

Come anticipato nei mesi scorsi, il BWS Village, inedito format del 2024, rappresenterà uno spazio distintivo e raffinato situato sulla Balconata del Palazzo del Ghiaccio. Riservato alla stampa e ai professionisti del settore che parteciperanno all’evento, questo ambiente sarà il luogo ideale per incontri commerciali, trattative e buyers network. All’interno di questo spazio, alcuni dei partecipanti esporranno le proprie etichette per aumentare la visibilità e facilitare il networking. Durante la giornata di lunedì, buyer e giornalisti verranno omaggiati con un kit di degustazione contenente alcuni dei prodotti delle aziende aderenti al Village per ringraziarli dell’attenzione ricevuta.

Infine, anche quest’anno, per massimizzare la visibilità dei protagonisti della kermesse, saranno coinvolti Mattia Metta, Denise Oriani, Sara Piovano e Roberto Alori, digital creators nel campo enogastronomico e degli spirits che attraverso una serie di contenuti veicolati attraverso i social network, racconteranno in maniera originale l’evento, amplificandone l’eco e coinvolgendo un pubblico sempre più vasto.
